Giancarlo Majorino

Born in 1928 in Milan, where he lives, he has published a verse story (La capitale del Nord, Schwarz 1959); published again in 1994 by the Edizioni dell'Arco, Milan), nine collections of poetry (Lotte secondarie, Mondadori 1967; Equilibrio in pezzi, Mondadori 1971; Sirena, Guanda 1976; Provvisorio, Mondadori 1984; Testi sparsi, Prova d'autore 1988; La solitudine e gli altri, Garzanti 1990; Cangiante, Scheiwiller 1991, with water-colours by Carlo Nangeroni; Sosia. Lampada, Edizioni Rizzardi 1994, with etching by Tino Stefanoni; Tetrallegro, Mondadori 1995), a book mixed with proses and verses, (Ricerche erotiche, Garzanti 1986), a prose text with lithographies by Alik Cavaliere (Qui e altrove, edited by Upiglio, Fondazione Floriani ed. 1992), two anthologies (Poesie e realtà '45-'75, Savelli 1977; Centanni di letteratura, Liviana 1984), a thoughtful text (Passaggi critici, Coop. Ed. Punti di mutamento 1984). Winner of literary prizes (Alte Ceccato 1967, Cittadella 1972, Rebora 1985, Cultura e Comunità 1990, Pisa 1991, Rende 1992, Sabaudia 1992), he has been cofounder and member of the editorial staff of the cultural magazine "Il corpo" and founder and manager of the magazine of poetry "Incognita" published by the S.E.N. of Napoli, and with this he has directed the series "Poesia". Before this, in the eighties, he had edited, with Roberto Roversi, the series "Poesia e realtà" published by Savelli. From 1994, June, he is founder and editor with others of a new magazine "Manocomete-quadrimestrale di profondità e superficie".
